The process

We will begin by talking through your project, your goals and expectations. I will ask to you to tell me what you are looking for in terms of color palette and the look you are going for. We will agree on whether you want multiple designs created to select from, or if you just want one we will develop together.

Based on our conversation, I will create a contract stating the expected final cost, which will include my time, an hourly rate for work beyond that time, and the price of anticipated purchases such as stock or original artwork, specific fonts or papers. If you agree to the contract, you will need to sign it and return it along with a percentage of the expected cost. The balance will be due on completion of the project, or if it is a longer term project, incrementally each month.

The contract will also tell you what information I will need to receive from you to work on your project. These are generally spell-checked and proofread Word or text files, photos you want me to use, any other supporting files or project-specific items we have discussed. In this way you can begin to collect these files together ready to send them to me as a group.

The goal of having this contact is to be sure we are both clear about what is expected, and what the project will cost. You will know upfront that if you change your mind frequently, the project will end up costing more than expected.

When I have your contract, check and the supporting files, I will begin work on your project. As I work I will send you files showing how your project is developing.

I look forward to working with you!
